Here we have a great tribute to the military m9 bayonet - the smith & wesson special ops survival knife offers all teh features of an authentic m-9, with a robust, modern design! Appearance-wise, there aren't many cluse to give away that this isn't a real m9 bayonet, except for the sawback blade and smith & wesson special ops logo and lettering on the blade. The low-reflective blade finish on the black model, and the heavy duty nylon handle appear nearly identical to the ontario m9. The s&w special ops bayonet comes complete and new in the box with color-matching bianchi-style mliitary sheath with fastex buckle and dual retaining straps with snap-closures. The sheath is equipped with a magazine pouch and a t-lug wire cutter incorporating the lug cut-out on the blade of the knife. Hidden behind the rear strap on the sheath is a built-in coarse sharpening stone for field touch-ups, just like on the ontario m9. This is a evry capable knife, and is made with durability and usability in mind. Smith & wesson have outdone themselves with these incredible survival tools! The blade measures 7 5/8 long, has an aggressive sawback, and is made from 440 stainless steel. The knife measures 12 3/4 long overall.
